Always- I’ll probably have at least one more post about South Park I swear. Random Basic Hair Care Advice

I realized recently that a lot of people, especially trans women, arent actually taught basic hair care and it made me want to write some stuff ive learned

If you're someone that uses a dandruff shampoo consistently because of itching havw someone check that it isnt product buildup. If you use too much product/dont wash it out all the way it can get stuck and cause itch and stuff that looks like dandruff

For most people you dont need to use shampoo everytime. If you have medium hair or longer? Shoot for no more than three times a week. If youre trying to help curl health shampoo even less

For curly hair if youre trying to get healthy curls only use shampoo when your roots start to feel a little oily. Bristle brushes can draw this out, but thats more advanced hair care and more maitenance

You should use conditioner more often than you use shampoo, but not every day. If you use shampoo three times a week, condition five. If you use shampoo twice a month, use it three or four times a week.

If you have medium hair or longer DONT apply Conditioner like shampoo. Get a small amount of conditioner, only apply it to the hair below your nose working it in deeply, and let it sit for a few minutes before washing it out

DONT dry your hair in the stereotypical "rub a towel on your hair" way if your hairs medium length or longer. You can squeeze it damp with a towel, and air dry or blow dry, but you dont want to create a lot of friction or itll cause frizz

If you can braid your hair and have long hair do it before bed. If you cant, putting it in a ponytail before bed still helps. Itll make it less frizzy and less knotted in the morning

Hairbrushes can be really bad for your hair, not counting bristle brushes which are more advance haircare. If your hairs straight theyre fine, but if its wavy or curly you want to use them rarely. I usually only use a hairbrush once a week and before a shower because I have lightly curled hair

Using a wide toothed comb or your fingers is pretty much fine for working out knots and styling your hair, and actually healthier for it than a plastic brush most of the time. The problem is its not as effective at catching knotting, youll need to do it like two or three times a day, and youll want to be vigilant to catch knotting turning to matting. Youll alsp want to still occassionally use a hair brush just to make sure none are forming

If your brushing your hair, with a hairbrush or otherwise, DONT start at the scalp. Start a few inches from the bottom of your hair and work up to your ears. Brush your hair in sections up to your ears each time. Finish off doing your scalp and take it slow. DONT try brushing a knot all the way out in one go. Brush until you feel resistance, go a little back up, brush it back down. A knot at the back of your hair will take a while to brush out without breaking stuff, because youll want to slowly work it down and out

Once or twice a year while growing out your hair youll want to get someone to cut off dead and split ends. Itll make your hair look less frizzy and make it grow out better

If your hairs matted because you were depressed or sick its not the end of the world. You can get the matts out, and probably save most of your hair. Smaller matts, at the back of your head or otherwise, you can get a friend to help you work out with some tutorials and basic supplies and time. More matted hair you can call salons or hairdressers and ask if they will help with that sort of thing

I'm definitely missing some things, and I'm still on the journey of learning these things myself so someone might have better advice than what I wrote above, but this helped me a lot and is the sort of thing I think a lot of people trying to care for longer hair should know

Not terrible. I think that this still gives Blueberry vibes it's mainly the shoes that are bugging me. But other than that it's not BAD.

In my slight justification for why he's wearing... that. I was originally going to give all of the returning season 3 contestants vacation clothes because they thought they were going on a vacation but I didn't really do this with any of the others so it just looks out of place and ugly.

I saw an ad around the time I drew this that showed a child missing their upper lip. I thought that that would be an interesting design choice for Lifering to to represent the hole in his face. I was correct that it's interesting. It being a good design choice before this art style is a different topic- still like the earring I gave him though.

I hate those fingers. They're so small. I hate it. I remember this was my favorite outfit, and now I don't like it that much. But I guess it's not THAT bad. It's still kinda bad.

And after that it was your first Floyd/Creek comics where Creek thinks he’s tricking Floyd but Floyd his aware and using him to get expensive stuff!!! It was between those three that I started following you.

While your style has changed since those little comics, I’ve always found your art amazing!!! And funny!!!

I keep coming back for more art and comics. I don’t read most of the asks you get so what ever happens on chapter 14 will probably be a complete surprise for me.

I do have a few questions from those first comics, have you ever considered drawing Bruce before he came out has trans? Maybe a little comic flashback of him coming out to his family? Also why was Branch so surprised? Didn’t he know Bruce was trans? And or was he… wait is Branch a he or a she? I forgot to ask before I didn’t understand in the story, if Branch came out has a boy or a girl. What I was going to say was Branch surprised that he wasn’t the only trans in the family?

As for the JD comic, have you ever considered drawing that date JD had with the trucker troll?

first of all tysm! thats very kind of you 😊 ill go through em point by point:

1- the comic where branch finds out bruce is trans wasnt related to the tdau at all, it was based on actual canon, so that version of branch wasnt intended to be a trans he/him butch he was just a cis dude. branch didnt know bruce was trans bc he wasnt even a year old at the point of the breakup and bruce had been living solely as a man for years, maybe as young as 13? (he wouldve just decided "can you call me a he? and grandma can you start buying me boy clothes at pop troll walmart?" i dont think he wouldve had the resources available to know what transgender even meant at that point) and never ended up telling branch before the breakup bc... well hes like 6 months old. and he doesnt need to know anything about "spruce"s body. and over the years bruce just kinda forgot that branch didnt know, which is why he mentioned it so casually

2- i did actually draw the troll jd had a date with! his name is clyde (although i think calling him clyde S.D. ale would be cute. like clydesdale, and also ale like the alcohol). this art is old atp so maybe ill give him a fresher coat of paint, just like im planning for jds manic pixie dream rock troll girlfriends who hate him

Balthazar

roots: Is your OC's look inspired by any specific style of clothing or fashion trend? What are the roots and/or inspiration for their look?

The inspirations!!! So, I know I mention it periodically, but Balthazar’s clothes take not insignificant inspiration from ouji fashion. It was very present in manga I read in my formative years and I have a lot of fondness for it. Elegant, flamboyant, androgynous… I love it. And unsurprisingly the same kinds of historical European noble fashion that inspire ouji also inspire me from time to time. I was going to include some examples but uhhhh I think there are going to be enough images in this asdlfijas

A specific inspiration though has got to be the work of Jun Mochizuki. I absolutely love Mochizuki-sensei’s art, and the styles in Pandora Hearts and The Case Study of Vanitas are just. So huge in my mind forever. Years ago Balthazar had a much less flamboyant style that was pretty directly inspired by Vanitas himself; over time he’s moved towards flashier looks, but there’s still a Vanitas element to him, I think.

change: Has your OC ever drastically changed their appearance? Significant haircuts, big tattoos, complete wardrobe swap, etc? Why? How do they feel about the change?

God, he’s gone through enough that this is practically a life history.

So, two important things to know are that 1) Balthazar was born poor and 2) Balthazar is a trans man. So early in life Balthazar had pretty limited access to choices of clothing, often wearing hand-me-downs from the neighbor’s daughters that were, though well cared for, worn and usually plain, and meant for a little girl. At the time Balthazar’s father Kostas left Balthazar’s hair long, not unlike the way Kostas remembered the hair of Balthazar’s mother. The first big change would have probably been when in an act of anger and desperation, Balthazar cut his hair practically to the root while his father was out. Kostas was upset and confused, but tried to be ginger around the clear distress Balthazar was expressing. Some time after this Balthazar began finding ways to access more masculine clothing from charity, secondhand stores when he could scrounge up the money, and occasional theft.

In his teens, during the period where he was living with his teacher, he slowly began to change his image again, emulating his idea of a fashionable young man of high society. Time away from his childhood home had slowly given him more comfort being in public and with the sense that he passed, and he had begun to introduce himself with a new name when in public. He also had gotten far, far better at coming up with money in order to indulge his tastes. He was also very good at finding friends, lovers, and benefactors to give him gifts. Over this period his sense of style started to resemble his present wardrobe. He got his ears pierced and began experimenting with jewelry. He also began to grow out his hair again, wearing it long and artificially straightened for a period due to a popular trend. This was the first time he started to feel really comfortable with how he existed in public. Somewhere in here, also top surgery, because if a game is going to say “there’s well developed non-magical medical knowledge in this fantasy world” I’m going to go “awesome there’s top surgery.” I am allowed to have this and no one is allowed to argue with me <3

After being thrown out of his teacher’s home, Balthazar lost of lot of his wardrobe and over the ensuing years much of what he had began to get increasingly worn out. He stopped straightening his hair, and when he finally left Absalom he cut it short. It felt like a fitting fresh start. Though the haircut may have also helped soothe nerves- both the anxiety of leaving behind all he had known before and the sense that his control over his appearance and his general presence in the world had been deteriorating. His style became simpler for a time as he sold off trinkets and unnecessary things piecemeal to finance his travels when money was tight. The Balthazar who arrived in Brevoy was one who had slowly but surely become more subdued and practical, even if he still clung to some of his old extravagant trappings where he could and was certainly not prepared for a true wilderness trek.

After the defeat of the Stag Lord, Jamandi Aldori did finance a new wardrobe fitting for a Brevic nobleman as a gift, but Balthazar didn’t truly come back into his own until he met the tailor Sharel. Sharel has been very good at working with Balthazar’s flashy and unconventional personal tastes and designed a lot of the clothes Balthazar has worn since becoming the ruler of the Stolen Lands (as well as reworking favorite pieces to accommodate the wings later on). Balthazar has a great deal of respect for Sharel’s work as an artist. He appreciates what Sharel does more than he expresses- and given how he loves to tease Sharel by showering him with praise, that’s a lot of appreciation.

The other major developments of Balthazar’s life have been supernatural. Balthazar’s halo first manifested when he was around seven or eight (the first clear sign that he was an aasimar), but he generally suppressed it to avoid notice. As his powers as a sorcerer developed, however, this became more and more difficult. Over the course of the game’s plot his halo becomes much brighter when manifested and can no longer be fully suppressed without active effort. The result is that there’s often a faint glow around him- usually not clearly visible in daylight or bright indoor spaces, but unmistakable in dim light. Shortly after the events of chapter three, he also develops wings very suddenly. He has a deep loathing for the clearly supernatural parts of his appearance, and the wings in particular cause a great deal of distress.

Kasander

roots: Is your OC's look inspired by any specific style of clothing or fashion trend? What are the roots and/or inspiration for their look?

Well, for the most part I just draw Kas in clothes that they have worn in the game. It’s nice to be so laid back about things from time to time, haha. Kas is my first serious character in years who is meant to mostly resemble an in-game appearance from a video game.

With that said, the pre-canon outfits I did design myself. Notably, the assassin/cultist outfit was conceptualized extremely early on (within two or three days of starting the game…) and was meant to be inspired by a kind of edgy, sexy character in 90s and early aughts pop culture who skulked around in black leather to let you know they were Dangerous. I had a kind of femme fatale vision in my mind. Although I didn’t actually reference anything specific when designing, I can easily point to Trish from Devil May Cry and Testament from the early Guilty Gear games as examples of what kind of thing I mean. I hope this makes sense. I hope this doesn't look crazy.

The boots are based directly on a real pair from the brand Demonia. I have no idea how I found this real pair and I apparently didn’t save whatever images I was working off of, so I can’t show them to you. I just reference my old art when I need to draw them now :’)

motion: How does your OC move? How does their clothing help or hinder their range of motion? Are they flexible, coordinated, clumsy?

Although Kasander tends to be awkwardly restless when trying to sit still, they actually tend to move in very precise, fluid ways. They’re someone who’s really meant to be moving- they’re built for it. They’re extremely quick and agile, and it often takes people off guard at first meeting just how fast they are when they start moving. There’s a lot of grace to them- somewhat undercut by a tendency for big, enthusiastic or dramatic gestures, but still so clear. And they revel in movement in a way that’s equally clear- always bounding ahead and then falling back when walking with someone, quick to dart up to a higher position or leap over obstacles, turning with arms thrown wide in a spin on the heel. They’re always happy to take the harder path when it means some tricky footwork. They way they move is joyful. They have a great deal of comfort in their body.

Before the Tadpole Era, their clothes tended to complement this fairly well. Their clothes fit well and were designed to accommodate their range of motion (high) and level of activity (high). Even their cloak was meant to be short enough not to get in the way, and the clasp of it could be easily released to drop it as quickly as possible (useful to shed anyone grabbing onto it or simply to be rid of something loose that could be pulled around the throat). The paladin clothing is… less well suited to them. Although the armor has been refitted to their body, the tabard remains loose, meant upon examination for someone slightly larger. It’s a little awkward, and it sometimes tangles or catches at inconvenient times. And while the armor is fairly good for their range of motion, it’s also far heavier than they’re used to- a serious adjustment. Over time they’ve become used to it and are still quite agile, but they could certainly use far more of their potential without it.

Favorite music of 2023 :)

I've found myself dealing with a wave of writer's block, and in my desire to get past it I've decided to write whatever I can. Some people said they'd be interested in me talking about my favorite albums of 2023, so here's a short write up about albums I really liked and I hope everyone will give a try.

I found 2023 to be a pretty spectacular year for weird and interesting music. With artists like Lil Yachty doing a neo-psychedelia album (fantastic, give it a listen) and Avenged Sevenfold doing some progressive avant garde adjacent metal album (I think people are wrongly hating on it, it's spectacular), it shouldn't be too surprising to imagine that the bands the mainstream hasn't really heard of are making wild soundscapes unlike anything you've ever heard.

Kicking this off with one of my favorite Korean bands, Parannoul released two albums this year and they were spectacular - both in my top 10 of the year. Parannoul are a wonderful shoegaze band that create these songs that almost feel hypnotic, they create this dream like state for their songs in ways no other band seems to be able to. After the Magic, their third album, is no different in this, but brings a new warmth, brighter instrumentation, and just in general doesn't feel as self loathing and depressed as previous works. The other release, After the Night, is a live recording, which shows that the band can produce the same dreamlike style on a stage, but do it even better. My second favorite album of the year, this live album is so incredible, zoning out to the 46 minute "Into the Endless Night" while high was probably one of my favorite experiences of the year in and of itself. (Also, if you do chose to check them out, please listen to To See the Next Part of the Dream, it's one of my favorite albums ever made.)

Using Parannoul as a sorta link between things, I also found that they worked on a song on the new Turquoisedeath album, Se bueno. I won't claim to be an expert on drum and bass, but I had a killer time listening to Se bueno. When I discovered Se bueno, I also discovered a few other, more abrasive, albums that I kind of group together in my head. Namely Chaser by femtanyl (digital hardcore) and Sisterhood by lostrushi ("digicore" feels like a frantic version of trap). If you like this kind of music, give them a try, all three are on my list.

Everyone's top albums of the years seem to have their one and two spots stolen away by Javelin and Scaring the Hoes. Starting with the latter, Scaring the Hoes by JPEGMAFIA and Danny Brown is cool as hell. Beats unlike anything I've heard in hip hop before, and the flows of both men really bring it all together. It's a great album (it's my third favorite of the year), but I also think some focus on some other hip hop titles might be cool. Integrated Tech Solutions by Aesop Rock is just as impressive and interesting and deserves your attention. Alongside that Michael by Killer Mike is a fantastic listen, though it doesn't compare to the previously mentioned two, it's still a great album that deserves your time - he won those awards for a reason. The man got arrested at an award show, the least you can do is stream his album once.

Now, as for Javelin by Sufjan Stevens, it's a great album, but it's also such a sad album. His pain is horrible, and he does a great job at making you feel it. However, the music never really hit me like other albums of the year had. The lyrics murder your heart, but I'm a tad past gay pains and want gay joys. Which is why I want you all to listen to Ultra Paradise by Angel Electronics. Half Ada Rook of Black Dresses, half Ash Nerve (I doubt you know him) this is a trans and gay power pop album that's just beautiful and fun. Songs like Return to the Sky and One Thousand and One Nights are fun ear worms, and the rest of the album just has a level of repeatability and a level of joy and fun that most other albums this year didn't have. Is it as technically impressive as Javelin? No. But, shit, it's nice to be happy for once.

Continuing off of this idea, in 2023 we saw transphobia become horrifically rampant, the right wing are really intent to get rid of us. You can't avoid how much this world hates us now and it makes you want to just scream. It creates this feeling of anger, a desire for violence, like we're past being sad and nice and understanding. In 2023 the Hirs Collective put out an album on par with that emotion. We're Still Here is an aggressive grindcore album put together by trans, gay, queer people in general. My favorite release from the band to date, it's fantastic to see Hirs screaming "We're still here!" as the world tries to erase us. This is my favorite album of 2023, please listen to it, please give Hirs your money, they deserve it and you deserve their music.

A few more albums I wanna recommend that I can't really think of anything in depth to say: God Cum Poltergeist by Crisis Sigil (Ada Rook) is a fantastic grindcore album, Goodnight, God Bless, I Love U, Delete by Crosses is a fantastic synthpop adjacent album and I got to see it performed live and it's amazing music, Reborn Superstar! by Hanabie. is a great Japanese metalcore album, and go listen to Kikuo Miku 7 for some rad Hatsune Miku bullshit.

• Kaeya is not an open man about anything really, especially things regarding his identity.

• So he feels a sense of relief when you come out to him because he can be open to you in a way he doesn’t get to be with other people.

• I feel like Kaeya would really enjoy a t4t relationship because he wouldn’t be afraid of you not understanding things he deals with.

• His, now deceased, adoptive father was quite wealthy so he was able to afford a medical transition. Because of that experience he can help you with yours, if you want a medical transition.

• Gets gender envy over pirates and feels gender euphoria when dressing like a pirate. 

• I mean this in the least thirstiest way possible but Kaeya is very proud of his chest. Top surgery is expensive so his chest is worth thousands of mora and he wants it to be treated like that. Please rest your head on his chest when cuddling it makes him so happy. 

• He has a great fashion sense and would love to take you out shopping if you don’t have any gender affirming clothing. 

• He tends to hide his gender dysphoria but when you’ve been dating for a while, you can tell. Diluc also happens to let his concerns slip to you as a nice hint whenever Kaeya is feeling especially down. 

• When he goes for your comfort he always asks you to give him some wholesome affirmations. His personal favorite is being called “dashing”. It feels masculine to Kaeya.

• He’s pretty observant so if you ever deal with dysphoria he is quite quick to figure you out. He is surprisingly good at comfort so make sure you use that to your advantage.

Kaeya always found himself discovering all the little ways you made his life better. Like how you helped him fight his unhealthy coping mechanisms, or how you always listen to his slightly over dramatic rants, or even when you would always greet with a smile that Kaeya would kill for. But there was one thing Kaeya was especially grateful for. You see, whenever Kaeya has a particularly rough day he climbs into your shared bed late at night, smelling slightly of wine, and holds you like you’ll leave him behind at any moment. This isn’t the first time and you know this is far from your last; but you understood what hardship Kaeya has to face in his day to day life. You knew just what it was like. 

Kaeya was quick to plop onto the bed, not even bothering to take off the pirate-style boots he liked to wear. You could worry about the possible mud staining the fancy sheets later. There are more important things right now and his name is Kaeya Ragnvindr-Alberich. 

“Would you like anything?” You’d ask him, even though you could predict what response your boyfriend would give. He breathed in your scent and let out a hum.

“You know what I like.”  He breathed in your scent and let out a hum. You’d always indulge the silent wishes Kaeya would have. You ran your fingers through his navy locks, undoing the thin ponytail and letting the jeweled accessory sit on the bedside table. Kaeya melted like butter in your hands and he let out a familiar and content hum. You could see his ears darken a shade. It was so faint that you could only really notice when you were this close to Kaeya. You’d never say anything about it because you knew how shy Kaeya could get when called out. He would, as a very wise man had put it, lose his swagger.

You could think more about it at a later time where you didn’t have an exhausted and overworked boyfriend curled around you. “You’re very handsome, Kaeya.” You whisper while rubbing a hand down his back, “Dashing, spectacular, stunning…the perfect man.” It was always pretty cheesy but Kaeya seemed to like corniness for comfort. 

Kaeya was a man with a mask, a mask you had to spend months to break down just to get a peek into his icy heart. Your patience was something he greatly appreciated–he just wished there was a way he could repay that kindness you always give him. 

After that night, you started to find little notes hidden all over the shared apartment. Written on those notes were a variety of affirmations; affirmations of both your identity and affirmations of just how loved you were by the citizens of Mondsadt. Kaeya would always play it off like it was nothing…but he was always pleased to see a smile on your face. You were worth all the paper in Tevyat and Kaeya will always be determined to remind you of that.

• Diluc was raised in a very open family so he never thought much about the fact he was transgender. He isn’t open about it, but he isn’t quiet about it either. If someone asks him about it then he’ll be honest.

• He was pretty nonchalant when he found out about your gender identity. They go “Hm, alright.” and go back to their day.

•  But, subconsciously, this does affect how willing Diluc is to tell you certain things. It sucks not being able to talk about certain aspects of your life and Diluc does want to talk about certain things. If they were to tell anyone else they can imagine the types of faces they’ll get. 

• Being around you is a sense of comfort for Diluc so the guy almost hovers around you because he’s too much of a gentleman to pull you in for a hug while in public. In private though? They look like a puppy.

• Diluc likes to think he looks like their dad, but they’ll never outwardly admit it. He wears his hair the same because he wants to be a man in the same way his deceased father was. 

• Diluc wears a lot of layers because his gender dysphoria is worse in regards to his figure. It’s changed a lot over the years thanks to hormone therapy and affirmation surgeries. He doesn’t hate his figure and is willing to be wearing less when alone but he has a deep rooted fear of how differently people will see him.

•  You definitely help that fear because they feel you understand in some way. You make him feel handsome.

• Diluc is a man with a lot of power so you better believe anyone that disrespects you face the wrath of Diluc Ragnvindr (and Adelinde because girlboss)

It was one of the hottest nights you and your boyfriend had ever experienced–yet the man refused to get out of the thick fleece pajamas.

“I have a pyro vision, I can handle a bit of heat.” He would tell you and you rolled your eyes each time. It would be their funeral when they can’t fall asleep because of how terribly hot it was in your shared bedroom! Diluc tossed and turned that entire night and, you aren’t one to flaunt when you’re right, but you knew Diluc couldn’t possibly handle another night in those sweltering pajamas–nor could you handle another night struggling to fall asleep because of Diluc moving around just centimeters away. 

“Diluc, at this point I’ll have to go sleep on the couch.” You sat up with a deep sigh. You could feel Diluc tense up from your side and they refused to meet your gaze. They were clearly deep in thought and you could tell those thoughts weren’t the most positive. 

“You can tell me, y’know?” You turned your position so you were facing Diluc completely. He ran a hand through his hair and moments passed in silence. You knew it was starting to get late and if Diluc wasn’t ready to talk about it then you wouldn’t force it. A night on the couch isn’t the worst thing.

“Wait!” Dilucs voice cracked and he tugged the end of your shirt. That small touch didn’t last too long, however, and he was quick to stand up and pace around the room all while mumbling words you couldn’t quite make out. By the time they stopped, you knew they were ready.

“I’m worried.” He played with the edges of the long sleeves, “My body…it isn’t the same as people born as men. I can’t help but worry–” He couldn’t bring himself to finish what he wanted to say but you knew what he meant.

“Oh, Diluc, nothing can make you less of a man than you are now.” You smiled, “I won’t see you as less of a man. Manhood is more than your body.”

Diluc let out a small laugh, “you of all people would know that.” He said, more to himself than to you. The whole thing felt silly to them now…but your patient gaze was enough to remind them that their worries aren’t silly. Diluc stiffly and uncomfortably undid the buttons of his shirt, taking it off completely and letting it rest on a chair not too far away. He rubbed his arm nervously. 

“I’m proud of you.” You reassured him quietly, dragging a finger across the thin scars laid just below his pecs. They shivered under your touch but didn’t ask you to stop. It was little touches like this that made him melt and you knew that more than anyone. That night was a night where Dliuc had one less worry taken off their shoulders. They were far from a religious man but, that night, they thanked the Archons for your patience.

Albedo | Intersex? (they essentially have no genitalia) | They/them | CW: Brief mention of reproduction  •·············•

• Albedo was a false human, someone made of nothing but chalk. They also weren’t created with reproduction in mind so they were given no parts to do so. From the beginning they weren’t a person that matched the idea of “gender” that mortals had.

• Despite this, Albedo understands gender–to an extent. They understand it because of how alchemy related to the development of hrt. 

• Albedo was rather confused when you came out to them because they weren’t even aware “coming out” was a concept. What was the point of telling them? Either way, it didn’t change much. 

• Albedo has a natural curiosity and asks you many questions about your identity. They, quite adorably, write your answers down in a notebook you later discover is filled to the brim with information on you and what you like. Do not ask Albedo about it because they will die of embarrassment.

“May I paint you?” Albedo had asked you one afternoon. You both were in Albedo’s office in the Favonious building–quite the different setting than the usual cold and silence of Dragonspine. You could tell Albedo doesn’t spend too much time here due to how uncharacteristically neat the room was. You didn’t dwell on it, instead, you were more curious over the question Albedo had just asked you.

“You always paint me, Albedo.” You told them and they shook their head. 

“No, no. That’s not what I mean.” Albedo looks at their own hands and taps their fingers together rhythmically, “I meant paint you, literally. As in to use you as a canvas. Just your arm is fine–”

You could tell Albedo was growing increasingly embarrassed, like they were asking you something completely obscene. You chuckle to yourself and pull up your sleeve as a silent grant of permission. Albedo perked like a puppy and gathered some paints you didn’t recognize. They were likely the usual paints Albedo used but alchemically altered to be safe for skin contact. 

“Look away, it’ll ruin the surprise.” Albedo could hardly hold back their smile. You rolled your eyes and looked out the window to distract yourself from whatever masterpiece was about to paint upon your skin.

The paint made contact with your skin and you tried your best to hold back a shiver from both the cold and the tickle of the thin hairs of Albedo’s paintbrush. You closed your eyes and tried to guess what Albedo was painting by using nothing but the strokes the brush made against your arm. Perhaps those distractions were better than what you had thought because it didn’t seem to take very long. Albedo pulled away and put their paint brushes into a cup with rather murky-looking water. 

“I am finished.” Albedo spoke up and you took a look at what they painted. You immediately recognized the colors of your pride flag painted as a mystical, twisting forest up your forearm. You were stunned and silent for what seemed like hours. In fact, you were so quiet that Albedo began to worry you didn’t like their work, or maybe they got the wrong flag? “Albedo I love it! Thank you.” You held your arm out to get a better look, Albedo grew a bit shy from the compliment and busied themself by cleaning up their paints and palette. 

“I did a bit of research on the LGBTQ+ community, I didn’t know they had so many flags.” Albedo explained like they always did when they showed you something they completed, “when I found yours, I simply had to paint. I wanted to test those skin-safe paints for a while now as well, it was perfect.”

“Albedo, you are perfect.” You paused for a moment and then let out a sigh, “It’s a shame it can’t be saved. I’ll have to wash it off sometime…”

“We can always use a kamera to take a picture.” Albedo responded and you heard the flutter and click of a kamera. You had just assumed Albedo only took a photo of the masterpiece on your arm. But, from behind your back, Albedo held a picture of you in your entirety; admiring the swirling colors that Albedo lovingly painted onto your skin. You don’t need to know now, or ever, but Albedo had no plans to give this secret photo up anytime soon.  •················ (ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ) ················•

A/N: Oh my gosh! It warms my heart to hear you’ve been waiting that long for something I’d write. Oh wow, I feel so honored! And what a great question! It fits within the rules just fine, don’t worry! Here’s how I think the main three male companions would respond. BTW, I used he/him pronouns for Tav here, hope that’s okay!

Male BG3 Companions Reacting to a TransMasc! Tav

Astarion: 

Astarion is completely on board with the idea, so long as he gets to go shopping with Tav/give them the occasional bit of fashion advice. After all, Astarion thinks himself the best-dressed guy in camp, so, of course, it makes sense for Tav to take style advice from him. 

Astarion’s not very reactive. He was a high elf, born into the upper social classes of elf society in Baldur’s Gate. Certain high elves have been known to be blessed by Corellon, the androgynous leader of the elven pantheon, and the deity of Magic, Music, Arts, Crafts, Poetry, and Warfare. As the creator and preserver of the eleven race, he’s incredibly powerful. So powerful that in certain, very rare cases, special elves who receive a special blessing from them can change their gender following every long rest. These elves, known as "blessed of Corellon", can choose to be male, female, or 'neither' based on their moods or feelings. So the concept of changing one’s gender or appearance isn’t at all foreign to Astarion. 

Astarion does his best to listen to Tav though, especially if this is a difficult subject for him. Astarion knows what it's like to not be in control of your own body, of your destiny- it’s awful, rotten, and certainly, not something he would want to intentionally inflict on another person, especially someone as important to him as Tav. 

Astarion will listen intently, and take mental notes as to how Tav prefers to be treated. If he asks Asation to give him more credit in physical battles or to maybe lay off pet names like ‘Beautiful’, Astarion will respect Tav’s wishes. It may take Astarion some time to adjust, but he does make an immediate effort to. 

Astarion will also not hesitate to cut a bitch who insults Tav or disrespects his pronouns or appearance. Astarion is basically the living, walking embodiment of that “respect people’s pronouns or I’ll make yours ‘was/were’”.

Gale: 

Gale may put his hand in his mouth a handful of times when he talks to Tav about it at first, but he really does mean well. Gale’s just very curious about any magic or spells Tav has used, if any, in trying to alter their appearance or gender. Have they tried any transmutation spells? Polymorph? Any alchemy at all? Gale is very much on board with helping Tav achieve their desired look or body via magical means if that’s what he wants. 

Gale offers assistance via magical means of course, but he also offers a sympathetic ear should Tav ever want to talk about it. Gale has met plenty of alchemists who struggled with their own identity, so he knows it can weigh heavy on one’s mind. And when you already have a mind flayer parasite on the mind, well, that’s quite a lot for just one mind to handle!

Gale’s very excited to share shaving and grooming tips, especially when it comes to beard upkeep. That is if Tav is interested in trying out a beard. Gods know Gale’s been dying to talk to someone about it, someone who appreciates a handsome face when they see one. Tara won’t stop bugging him to shave it, and he could use another fellow on his side. Maybe together he and Tav could persuade Tara into liking it. (I mean, probably not, but it’s worth a shot.)

Gale isn’t one to initiate conflict, but should someone disrespect Tav or talk down to him, Gale would certainly have some words for that individual. Granted they may be murmured or said under his breath so as to not start yet another fight on their journey but in the end it’s the thought that counts, right? And if those words just happen to be some sort of mischievous spell as revenge, well, some things just can’t be helped, can they?

Wyll: 

Wyll is extremely kind and understanding when Tav tells him. He’s always very encouraging and does his best to uplift Tav anyway, but now that Wyll knows this, he tries even harder to do so. 

Wyll knows how much other people’s perceptions of yourself can mean. Wyll himself was so used to people seeing him in one light before Mizora cast him into another. Adjusting to the horns has not been easy, but just as Tav stood by him through all of that, Wyll vows to stand by Tav. 

He’s very polite, so he doesn’t ask a lot of questions unless Tav explicitly tells him it's okay to. If it is, Wyll will ask Tav about how they’d like to be addressed, how they’d like to be perceived within the roles of the team, and if there’s anything Wyll can do to make this process any easier for them. 

You know how in the latest patch, there was a fix that said “Duke Ravengaurd will now use the player's correct pronouns when addressing them”? And collectively we were all like, so Wyll sat him down and gave him a talk, huh? Yeah, that. 

Wyll’s very old-fashioned, not in his beliefs in gender roles, oh gods no, but in his belief that everyone should be treated with respect. (Well, sans goblins and like, bad guys, I guess.) So if Tav says they want to be called something, you can bet Wyll is the first one to remind the others if they slip up. 

Wyll thinks Tav is just an incredible person and an all-around amazing guy. He’s so happy to have met them. It’s kind of silly, but in some ways, Wyll still sees himself as this sort of knight-in-shining armor, a hero sworn to protect the people. But what’s amazed Wyll time and time again is how often Tav reminds Wyll and everyone else by extension, just how capable he is, as a leader and a friend. Tav isn’t helpless in need of rescue, he’s very capable in his way. Wyll finds it captivating, all the time Tav has come to his rescue.

[Soul Switching: Rise Leo and 2012 Leo switch with each other when they sleep. Two people sharing their life with the other causes drama. Leo is 2012, Leon is Rise]

Two blue portals – one a bright, electric shade and the other a more dull and calm color – opened above a large area with many different kinds of people wandering about.

The only problem? The portals were angled so when two turtle mutants fell out of them they collapsed on top of each other.

The two groaned, shifting and collapsing into an even bigger mess on the floor.

“Ugh, what hit me?” The red-eared slider mutant, shifted to prop himself arms with his arms.

The other quickly got his bearings, immediately sitting up when he heard the familiar voice. “Leon?”

The red-eared slider turned. “Leo? What are you doing here? I was not expecting another one of these situations to be happening.”

“I don’t think this is another situation like that…” Leo looked around, trying to figure out what happened. “Huh. This isn’t my world, but it isn’t yours either. It seems to be some sort of place where multiple worlds can hang out? I mean there’s a lot of versions of us here, so maybe there’s a big threat that needs to be handled that needs a bunch of us helping out.”

Leon rolled his eyes fondly. “Dude. Chill. There’s literally a big banner that says ‘TMNT Best Sibs Comp’, so I don’t think there’s a big threat to the universe or anything like that.”

“Comp? Like competition?” Leo asked, interested. He got a competitive gleam in his eyes. “How do we win?”

“I have no clue. But hey! At least we’re in our own bodies. It’d suck if we just got thrown here while we were switched.” Leon said, standing up. “But we can agree that this is so cool, right? Just like Jupiter Jim and the Jim Jupiters!”

“I think you mean Space Heroes Episode 329: The Trans-Dimensional Crew!” Leo responded. “But heck yeah this is cool! I know we’ve kinda already had the whole other worlds thing figured out, but this is wayyy different. There’s so many different versions of you around here!”

Leon grinned. “I know right!? I wonder if everyone here has the switching thing. I know there’s probably differences between each group, but not everyone, right? Also JJ and the JJs is way better than that Space Heroes episode. 20 minutes of a tv series is nothing compared to a full JJ movie!”

“Yeah it’d be so weird if we’re the only versions of us that switch. Wait, what if the switching isn’t with us, but with our brothers!” Leo gasped. “And how dare you disrespect Space Heroes. Just because it’s a show doesn’t make it any worse that Jupiter Jim. I’ll even say it makes it better than Jupiter Jim!”

“Oh my god, imagine a world where Donnie switches! Jupiter Jim’s better.”

“I’m pretty sure your brother would have somehow just consumed my Donnie’s soul. There’s no way those two would be able to coexist like we do. There’s no beating Space Heroes.”

“Don’t doubt your Donnie, just because mine is more showy with his craziness doesn’t mean yours isn’t equally unhinged. Jupiter Jim.”

“You know who’s really unhinged? My Raph. Especially compared to yours. Space Heroes.”

“Ha! They would never be able to hide it! There’s no way they could ever pretend to be the same person — they’re just too different! Jupiter Jim.”

“Just imagine Raph in Raph’s huge body. Space Heroes.”

“Honestly a bit terrifying. Jupite– oh look, a bracket! Looks like a tournament style thing. Though only the first matchups are shown…” Leon got distracted from the back and forth by a big screen showing the standings.

“Hm? Where are we on it?” Leo turned his head to see where Leon was looking, scanning the list.

“I don’t know, there’s a bunch of weird names for each group. Which makes sense, it’s not like they can just write our names, with everyone being the same person and all.” Leo drummed his shell as he looked.

“Soul Switching? You think that’s us?” Leo asked.

“Where’s that? Oh, yeah, could be. Bit on the nose, isn’t it?” Leon stared at the bracket. “Wait, does that mean that we’re the only people that switch?”

Leo shrugged. “I guess it was always a possibility. It is a little weird though. There’s so many people here, and none of them switch like us?”

“That’s what I’m saying! Who are we up against, anyway?” Leon squinted at the screen.

“Some group titled Separated Leo? I have no idea what that could mean for our chances. And none of the Leos around here seem to be alone. Maybe we should ask around? Figure out what group we’re up against?” Leo scanned the crowd. “I’m sure we’ll be able to beat them with no struggle― wait why did I just get a foreboding feeling. We’re not going to lose that bad, right?”

The warm sun hitting Mizu’s face. The distant water splashes of the nearby stream. The tit’s peaceful singing. The wagon with the necessary equipment. His hand resting on the handle. Lost in thought. Wind. Breeze. Salt. Fish. Sigh. Distant pants and footsteps. A tranquil look on his face. A word, two, and three.

“Rest. I’ll be back.”

A low voice. A bit worn. Soothing.

Mizu positioned a futon in the corner, near the forge, away from the window. He sat down, invitingly waiting for Taigen to join him.

“Come over here. Sit down and turn around.”

The two were locked into a loving embrace, Taigen resting between Mizu’s thighs, having his neck lavished by the attention of the lips from behind and the hands wandering across his body.

As his breath labored, Mizu’s hands gently moved downward towards the knot on Taigen’s waist, keeping his hakama in place. He bent to the side and forward to meet his gaze, searching for a sign of approval.

“Please,” Taigen murmured.

Mizu smirked playfully.

“Please, what?”

“Please, don’t stop.”

“Heh.”

Taigen’s lower clothes were soon undone and set aside. He is left in a kimono, bound by an obi, which was then too swiftly untied.

The hand was lightly tracing circles on his stomach and inner thighs, feeling the heat radiating from the skin.

“Stop me if it hurts in some way…”

Taigen simply nods, holding back a moan from all the warm sensations surrounding him: the other one’s breath against his neck, his body from behind, and his hands, where they are right now, and the mere thought of where they will be soon after.

“Hmm… Look at you…”

He began to lazily stroke him and relaxed his own back against the wall with a sigh.

“Do you like it? Should I go on?”

“I…think so,” Taigen puffed.

He touched the hem of the kimono the other still had on him.

“It gets in the way a little,” he purred close to his ear.

“Mind if I take this off?”

“Sure…”

In a few moments, Taigen was completely bare before Mizu’s eyes.

“I like your back... It looks so nice,” he wrapped his other arm around the shaky chest, strengthening the grip just a little, movements getting more rhythmic.

Taigen’s hitching breaths were followed by sharp whimpers when Mizu gently bit his shoulders. The sounds he was making were gradually causing him to lose his composure.

“I want you to get on all fours. Will you do this for me?”

“Y-Yeah, I don’t mind…”

With a soft, encouraging push, Taigen was kneeling, supporting himself with hands quite soon. Mizu pressed his body against him, continuing to stroke him.

“You’re doing so good it’s driving me insane…”

He took a look at Taigen, quiet, short moans escaping his lips under Mizu’s touch.

“My dove,” he purred, kissing his shoulder.

“Cooing those sweet little sounds for me… They are music to my ears… I wish I could listen to you day and night…”

Mizu tugged on his hair, making them face each other.

“Gods… and those eyes… Those hazy eyes of yours…”

Taigen was eyeing him silently, only panting faintly.

Mizu groaned, letting go of his hair and speeding up the pace of his hand and the rhythm of his grinding.

“Please, sing a little more…”

Taigen let out a chain of moans and whimpers in response.

“And your body… It flutters like a bird’s wings against the wind… Or like a trembling leaf… I love how it feels against me…”

“You… sure do have a way with words…”

Mizu bit him, eliciting a sharp gasp from the other.

“Feeling good?”

Taigen nodded with a whimper.

Mizu’s lips roamed across his body tenderly.

“You’re such a sight,” he whispered.

“You look so beautiful underneath me…”

Overwhelmed with pleasure from all the touch and words, Taigen was no more than a writhing mess of loud noises begging for release.

“Mizu… Please…”

He held him close, face buried in the crook of the other’s neck, driving him closer to his climax.

“That’s it… You’ve done it so well… I can see how much you enjoyed it all over my hand,” Mizu spoke with a sultry voice, giving him a peck on the cheek.

He reached out for a piece of cloth beside them.

Taigen’s body was still slightly trembling and his panting was shaky.

jesus christ they represented both of the games and the songs in the best way possible. like... this is so calming, just like the genre of REcorrection, "Fluffy Pop". the song itself is such a bop too.

the best one out of the bunch. holy shit they went fucking hard on this one. i think they know it because this song is the only one with vocals lol. like... even tho they dont really reference a lot of the two song's artworks, they really took the time and effort to reference both Pop'n Music and Beatmania IIDX in the best way possible. like tran and mimi... TRAN AND MIMI LOOK SUPER GOOD HERE LIKE THEY SHOULD BE OFFICIAL CHARACTERS YOU CAN PICK IN POP'N (ik they exist already, but like its the duo as a character, not just one of them)

sooooo.. how do you make a boss boss song? just combine two boss songs together not that hard lol. okay but in all seriousness, combining two boss songs that you made, and then it "YOUR NAME VS YOUR NAME BUT DIFFERENT" is the biggest flex because dj totto vs totto sounds sick af. the song doesnt miss as well lol, the genre is literally "EMPYREAL HYDRO ARTCORE". i wonder why the legendary mountain is underwater in the cover art this time... /s

ENDING THOUGHTS

alright since the event happened like two years ago already (jeez its already been that long? i still remember unlocking it myself like it was yesterday)

even tho konami fucked up in 2016 and 2017 and lost most of the magic tbh, i think this is a good event nonetheless. like the collabs are insane. ill give it a 5 pepperoni pizzas / 19 grapes (mostly because the songs that are mixed up are also added to the other game as well... and thats like.. good :)
